Tuesday, May 20: Cobram Community Theatre screening

Cobram Community Theatre will screen the romantic comedy Paperback Hero at 1pm.

It stars two of Australia’s finest actors, Hugh Jackman and Claudia Karvan, and is bound to be an enjoyable film hosted by Soroptimists International Cobram Barooga.

Followed by scones, jam and cream, it is a day worth going to.

Tickets are $20 per person, with funds raised going to local charities.

Thursday, May 22: Tocumwal’s Biggest Morning Tea

The event will be held at the Tocumwal Memorial Hall from 10.30am to 1.30pm; a $15 entry includes morning tea and refreshments with live entertainment, a door prize and raffles.

As in previous years there will be a huge plant sale of healthy plants available, so don’t miss out.

Tuesday, May 27: St Joseph’s Parish High Tea fundraiser

Held on Tuesday, May 27 at 11am, this event promises to offer something special, with a delicious array of quality home-baked goodies from some of Cobram’s finest home cooks.

The event will have lots of delicious food and drink, great raffle prizes, door prizes and a display of china painting.

The high tea will be held at the Uniting Church Hall, 10 Hay St, Cobram, and is organised by St Josephs’ Parish as its major community fundraiser.

Entry is $50 per person and tickets are available from Josie Violi on 0428 846 458. Bookings are essential and should be made by May 20.
