The annual Wakool Show will be back this Saturday, March 12, after a two-year break due to COVID-19.

The Wakool Show Society put together a reduced program for a show last year, but the event will be back in full flight on Saturday with equestrian events and pavilion exhibits.

The show will feature entertainment on Saturday night including a shearing competition pitting Australians against New Zealanders, barrel racing between horses and motorbikes and entertainment from singer James Holland.

Show secretary Stephanie Anthony said there were hopes for a good crowd as many other district shows had been cancelled and Wakool was one of the first to return.
