The costs of renewable energy

Letter to the Editor Photo by Megan Fisher

Dear Editor,

Degrading the landscape of the plains north of Deniliquin comes with considerable environmental costs.

The REZ development has not declared any meaningful constraints of the impact on the several endangered species whose core habitat is in this area.

It would seem this area, with a very low population base, encouraged by monetary bribes, is an easy target for the development of REZ compared to the more highly populated districts where there is considerable resistance.

Is this the situation where endangered species become expendable?

Yours etc.

Ian Campbell
