At this fashion show, supporting local health needs is in style.

On Thursday, October 24, GV Health Extended Care Auxiliary will transform the Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre into a runway space for its highly anticipated Spring Fashion Parade.

Rarely seen on the runway, Shepparton retailer Black Pepper is shaking things up with a new collection of casual and formal wear.

While the models walk the walk, attendees can sit and talk.

A spread of Devonshire afternoon tea will be provided, and some attendees may even be treated to winning raffle or door prizes.

The event is both chic and charitable, with all proceeds directed towards acquiring essential equipment for GV Health’s Mary Coram Rehabilitation Unit and Grutzner House wings.

Their wish is literally the auxiliary’s command.

“They put in a ‘wishlist’, and we try and do our best to cover that,” GV Health Extended Care Auxiliary vice-president Lyn Ford said.

“Last year, it was a chair, and this year, they’ve requested a lifting machine.

“One never knows when their turn might come for the use as well.”

The auxiliary invites everyone to come along, support the worthy cause and help make a difference — one stylish step at a time.

GV Health Extended Care Auxiliary’s Spring Fashion Parade is on Thursday, October 24, at 1pm at the Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre, 23 Alexandra St, Mooroopna.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Mimma’s Hair Studio on the Wyndham Mall Walkway, 294 Wyndham St, Shepparton.
