Soil probing session organised

Farmers can make the most of using probes to monitor their soil's health and moisture levels at Nanneella on Tuesday, October 22.

A hands-on session in a soil pit at an upcoming orchard walk will give horticulturalists an insight into monitoring soil health and moisture.

The Goulburn Murray Landcare Network will host the event on Tuesday, October 22 at Nanneella.

AgVic’s Rebecca Mitchell will use the session to introduce the Soil Health Guide for Northern Victoria.

AgVic agronomist Dale Boyd will then showcase utilising soil moisture probes for improved management and decision-making.

There will be information about local open-source moisture probe sites and how to access and interpret them.

The free event will run from 10am to noon (address provided upon registration), with a light lunch provided.
