Saddle up for Echuca’s country music festival

A new country music festival is preparing to transform Echuca Racecourse into a vibrant music hub next March, showcasing Australia’s premier country music talent.

The Event People general manager Scott Hollow confirms strong backing from local council for the inaugural Echuca Country Music Festival.

“We’re thrilled to bring a fresh country music experience to Echuca,” he said.

“Echuca Country Music Festival is about great music, great food and great people coming together to enjoy an unforgettable day out.

“We’ve had a huge amount of interest already, and we can’t wait to share more soon.”

The festival on Saturday, March 28 will feature six leading Australian performers, with additional acts to be announced.

“Casey Barnes will be our headliner with Beccy Cole. They have been around for a long time,” Mr Hollow said.

The stellar lineup includes performances from Amber Lawrence, Andrew Swift, Hayley Jensen, Tori Darke and Gareth Leach.

The event is proudly supported by Campaspe Shire Council, with Mayor Daniel Mackrell welcoming the festival to the region.

“It’s great to see an event like Echuca Country Music Festival coming to the region,” Cr Mackrell said.

“We’re a town that loves our music and our community, and this festival brings both together in the best way.

“It’s a chance for locals and visitors to enjoy a great day out, support local businesses and celebrate what makes our region so special.

“I encourage everyone to be part of what’s sure to become a highlight on our annual events calendar.”

Ticket sales launched on Tuesday, September 16, with organisers noting robust pre-sale numbers already.

Festival-goers can look forward to a family-oriented atmosphere complemented by local food vendors and refreshments throughout the event.
