Region on weather watch

Watch out: Weather warnings continue to be issued for the region, with widespread rain falling.

Residents along the Campaspe River are urged to remain up-to-date with current conditions as severe storms continue.

More predicted severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding across many areas of the state, including Northern Country over the next several hours.

A flood watch was issued by emergency services for the Campaspe River on Saturday, with an update coming through on Sunday afternoon.

With catchments moderately wet following recent rainfall and with possible rainfalls of between 60 to 100mm from late Sunday into Monday, river level rises and widespread minor flooding with isolated moderate flooding is likely to develop from Monday morning.
