Kyabram police are probing an act of vandalism that has marred the area near the Kyabram water tank murals.
The picnic table at the Drum St park, close to the water tank murals, has been dislodged from the ground and the chairs have been damaged.
Kyabram police Leading Senior Constable Damien Duggan said police believed the vandalism could cost thousands of dollars to repair.
He said police believed the damage occurred between Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 10.
Leading Sen Constable Duggan asked for anyone who saw anything suspicious around Drum St between those times to call Kyabram police on 5853 1777 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
