5PM UPDATE: Power has been restored in Mooroopna at about 5pm according to Powercor.
This was much sooner than the earlier predicted time of midnight.
In Shepparton, 100 houses are still without power in the Corio St area, while 59 houses are in the dark in the Skene St area.
Ninety-nine remain without power in the Macintosh St area, and another 35 in Lachlan Cres.
Powercor’s live outage website shows that power is expected to be restored at both at 12.30am.
Another 136 homes do not have power in the Bearii and Strathmerton areas, with an outage also affecting 18 Powercor customers in Strathmerton.
An outage has also affected 60 customers in Koonoomoo, with an estimated return time of 1am.
The Echuca outage is now only affecting 760 homes and businesses.

EARLIER: More than 2000 houses in Mooroopna are without power on Wednesday, October 22, while about 200 Shepparton homes are also in the dark.
Powercor said 2195 customers lost power in Mooroopna in the afternoon, with the origin in the Echuca Rd area.
The outage was caused by a tree on a powerline.
According to Powercor’s live outage website, power is not expected to be restored until midnight.
As part of the outage, power is out to the traffic lights at the intersection of McLennan St and Echuca Rd.
In Shepparton, 100 homes are without power after an outage that originated in the Skene St area, while another 99 homes are powerless in the Macintosh St area .
Powercor estimates power to be out in both spots until 12.30am.
Mooroopna and Shepparton are not the only towns in the region to have lost power.
One hundred and forty residents are also without electricity in Kyabram, and are forecast to remain so until 8pm.
Twenty residents in Girgarre are also without power.
Their power is forecast to be back on at 10.30pm.
In Echuca, 1029 homes and businesses are without power, with an estimated return time of 7pm.
