An expo is set to educate seniors on identifying online scams and navigating the ever-evolving digital landscape safely.

Campaspe Shire Council, alongside GV Health and the Rushworth Community House, will be hosting an Aged Care Services Expo in Rushworth on Thursday, April 10 to provide valuable information to older individuals.

More than 25 exhibitors will showcase a range of services at the Rushworth & District Aged Care Services Expo, crucial for senior wellbeing, covering secure housing, aged care options, and health support services.

Mayor Cr Daniel Mackrell emphasised the event's value for Rushworth's seniors, featuring informative sessions, including a crucial Crime Stoppers presentation on online safety and scam prevention.

“People will have the opportunity to explore various options in relation to residential care and housing, learn about My Aged Care and participate in informative sessions,” he said.

The expo is part of Rushworth's Place-Based Plan, endorsed by council in 2024, which pledges continued support for Rushworth's senior community.

This free expo will run from 10.30am to 2.30pm at the Rushworth Shire Hall on High St, ensuring easy access for all seniors.
