Help create positive mental health change in regional Victoria at an event in Mooroopna next month.
The Big Ask mental health forum will be held at the Mooroopna Community Hub on Sunday, March 3.
The forum is being promoted as an insightful and open discussion on mental health, aiming to create a safe space for individuals to connect with services, ask questions and learn from the line-up of guest speakers.
Keynote speaker will be Ray ‘Razor’ Chamberlain, AFL umpiring legend and founding member of the Chamberlain Foundation, which raises funds to provide support for suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
He will share his inspirational story of overcoming mental health struggles.
Participants will also hear from an expert panel, which will include Donna McMahon, CEO of Qualify/Well at Work; Dale Wright from Talking Straight; and Sönke Tremper from Giz a Break; plus representatives from Headspace Shepparton, Goulburn Valley Health, Beyond Blue and more, who will provide tools, insights, and information for fostering mental wellness.
Each speaker will bring their own expertise and perspective on mental health, how to navigate the system and get the help that’s available, when it’s needed.
Organiser Simon Quattrocchi, of GV Finance Brokers, said the forum would break down stigma, foster connections, and ignite positive change around mental health in regional Victoria.
“Mental health challenges don’t discriminate — they can affect anyone,” he said.
“This event will help us support each other on the path to wellness.”
The Big Ask will be held on Sunday, March 3 from 10.30am to 2.30pm at the Mooroopna Education & Activity Centre (Mooroopna Community Hub), 23 Alexandra St, Mooroopna.
