Mariah lights up Rochester’s Christmas

A giant bauble standing in the centre of Rochester has lifted the spirits of flood-affected residents as more businesses re-open their doors for the Christmas trading period.

In the past two weeks several businesses have managed to complete their clean-up to the point where they can re-commence trading — in time for the festive season that has this year been elevated with the arrival of Mariah, a giant illuminated Christmas bauble that will spend Christmas in Rochester.

The bauble last year was part of the Murray River Council Christmas Trail, but through the generosity of Kyabram’s Brady Electrical Contracting company will spend the next two weeks in Rochester.
