Police have charged a 19-year-old Shepparton man following an alleged assault at Woolworths in Mooroopna on Monday, May 22.
The man allegedly assaulted a 46-year-old Mooroopna man about 7.15pm at the supermarket on McLennan St.
The Mooroopna man was flown to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition.
The 19-year-old has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury, assault, and assault by kicking.
He also also been charged with possessing and trafficking cannabis and dealing with property suspected being proceeds of crime.
He will appear before Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
