Hay shed fire brought under control north of Shepparton

Smoke visible across Shepparton North and its surrounds on Monday was caused by a fire in a hay shed.

About noon on December 18, firefighting units arrived to a Pine Lodge property and quickly brought the situation under control.

“Six CFA units alongside FRV responded to a hay shed fire in Pine Lodge at around 11.50am,” a CFA spokesperson said.

“Units responded from Cosgrove and Pine Lodge, Shepparton, Shepparton East, Tallygaroopna and Mooroopna.

“(The) shed was approximately 12m x 30m and (was) fully involved in fire. No other structures or assets were under threat.

“(The) incident (was) deemed under control at 12.15pm.”
