Barooga has proved too strong for its rivals in round three of the Northern Country Women's League.

The NSW team, which is playing its inaugural season this year, beat Rumbalara in a convincing 51-19 win.

It was the Barooga women’s team’s first victory, and despite the scoreline, it wasn’t easy.

Though they led in the first quarter, by half-time it was 19-16 Rumbalara's way.

However, the second half saw Barooga steam ahead, finishing the third quarter 19 points ahead. By the end of the final quarter, Barooga had saluted comprehensively, 51 (7.9) to Rumbalara's 19 (3.1)
