Deniliquin’s 307 Army Cadet Unit has put out a call for all ex-cadets and parents of cadets who may have gear not in use to donate to the group for its newest members.
The local cadets and their leaders are finding it hard to “issue” their newest members with all the required clothing and equipment to start their cadet careers because of an order backlog.
They particularly require DPCU uniforms, hats, boots, field packs, webbing, canteens, duffel cags and camouflage tarps.
The army cadets meet every Wednesday from 6.30pm to 9pm in the hall at 306-308 Victoria St - formerly the Deniliquin Scout Hall.
Captain Bob Crampton said any donations would be greatly appreciated, and can be brought to the hall during this time.
If you cannot drop off on Wednesday nights, or would like to know more about joining the cadet unit, call Capt Crampton on 0427 102 172.
