Fifteen debutantes from the Finley district and their partners made an impression when presented to the community this month.

With assistance from ball coordinator and dance instructor Vicki Ackers, the couples learned a series of dances which showcased their maturity and also allowed them to have a little fun.

In front of friends and family at the Finley RS Club, they performed the Samba, Tracey Leigh Waltz, Cha Cha Cha, Progressive Evening 3 Step, and a medley of dances choreographed by Mrs Ackers.

Parents and carers were also welcomed to the dance floor during the evening, for the traditional ‘parent dance’.

“They were a fabulous group of teenagers to work with,” Mrs Ackers said.

“I am very proud of their accomplishments in standing tall and dancing as a tremendous group of young people that they are.

“I also wish to say thank you to the Finley RS Club for the fabulous food and venue, Dysons Group for the bus, and the the flower girls and pageboy.”
