The half-yearly Country Women’s Association Moira Group conference will be held in the Benalla CWA hall, Bridge St East, on Tuesday, August 13.
Delegates and members from Benalla, Boorhaman, Corowa, Swanpool, Thoona, Yarrawonga and Border branches will attend at 9.30am for morning tea.
Benalla Mayor Danny Claridge will officially open the conference at 10am.
CWA Moira Group president Jan James said the special guest speaker will be a surprise.
She said what she could say was it was a qualified craft and cookery judge, who will give tips on what they look for when judging entries.
“Members will give reports on recent CWA activities and there will be discussions on the homeless/disadvantaged and motorised scooters,” Ms James said.
“Visitors are welcome to come and learn about the work of CWA.”
