Community morning tea unites

Irene Davies, Debbie Purtill and Denise Phillips put on the Biggest Morning Tea.

The Deniliquin Biggest Morning Tea tally is at $7400 and still counting after Thursday morning’s event in the Deniliquin CBD.

Hosted outside My Shop in Napier St, business owner Denise Phillips and an army of workers and volunteers put on a massive spread.

People could stay and enjoy the treats and socialise, or takeaway to enjoy later.

Proceeds will be donated to the Cancer Council to fund research and support programs.

Local Cancer Council volunteers will now turn their attention to Daffodil Day, which will be held on August 20.
