The Ensign recently reported on Benalla Rural City Council’s draft budget, which included funds for an off-leash dog park in the Rose City.

This week members of the community with an interest in the outcome have asked if we could publish more information on where people can provide feedback, specifically on the dog park.

You can do that via the council’s Have your say website.

That site states that Benalla Rural City Council has agreed to further consultation on the issue.

It also states that the petition it received requested a ‘time-share’ set-up for off-leash areas on council land.

The page states that this is not an option, but it is encouraging people to share their solutions to the need for an off-leash dog park.
