Book Week magic spreads across the region

Book Week celebrations have continued across the local area in the last week.

A key event was the Edward River Library’s special Book Week fun day last Friday.

Staff were inundated with guest and visitors, many of them school aged children.

The kids were treated to a number of fun activities throughout the library, including wand making, sidewalk art and an art competition, themed around this year’s Book Week theme of ‘Reading is Magic’.

Those in attendance were also able to get themselves something to eat from the sausage sizzle, provided by the Rotary Club of Deniliquin.

Book Week celebrations were also held last week at Deniliquin High School, Deniliquin North School and Mayrung Public School, who each provided photos to the Pastoral Times.
