AusNet will be in the Wangaratta and Glenrowan areas from Monday, September 8 to Friday, September 12, undertaking aerial inspections.
An Ausnet spokesperson said helicopters gave a bird’s-eye view, so it could more easily identify and repair any wear and tear on powerlines and poles.
“Each year we inspect around 40,000 poles,” the spokesperson said.
“This work is undertaken throughout the year in an effort to keep the AusNet distribution network safe and reliable.
“These routine aerial inspections help support a reliable and safe electricity supply for Victorian communities.”
