Youth GO! Grants are now open.
The grant program is to fund activities and events for young people aged 12-25 across Campaspe.
Campaspe Shire Mayor, Rob Amos said it is a great opportunity for Council to help young people in activating their ideas and promoting social connection and positive wellbeing.
“This program is an extension of our ongoing commitment to the youth of our community,” he said.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to empower young people, providing them with the opportunity to plan, deliver and attend various activities and events and make a positive impact in our community.”
Grants are available for up to $1000, and can be used for various youth-led activities and events, such as movie nights, art exhibitions, musical performances, sporting events or bus trips.
The events must be accessible to all young people, must be alcohol, smoke and drug free, and must be held in the Campaspe Shire before November 10, 2024.
Applications will be assessed by Council’s Youth Action Group and applicants will be advised of the outcome by Friday, June 7.
