40 years of rugby memories and friendship

Memories from on and off the rugby field were shared with fondness when the Deniliquin Drovers Rugby Union Club held its 40th anniversary reunion at the weekend.

Past players and supporters gathered at the Coach House Hotel on Friday night for an informal meet and greet event, before the official reunion at the Deniliquin RSL Club on Saturday night.

Guests representing all four decades of the club’s history participated in the event, with quite a number of the first ever Drovers team and committee in attendance.

Some are still involved with the club today.

Cutting the anniversary cake were the Drovers' inaugural president Terry Reed and current president Pete Gow.
