There has been a round of cancellation of dairy events due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

The TasDairy state conference due to be held at Devonport on Thursday has been cancelled.

"Given the impact of travel restrictions on guest speakers and the risk to attendees, the decision has been made to cancel the events planned for this week,'' the TasDairy office announced today (Monday).

"Given the calibre of the of speakers, the support of sponsors and the quality of nominations received for the various awards to be presented, it is disappointing not to hold the event but believe it is the right decision to make. In the coming weeks we will look at rescheduling the Awards dinner as a standalone event as a way of recognising a number of exceptional businesses and individuals from across the industry."

TasDairy is also reviewing its future workshops.

Murray Dairy has cancelled its March workshops and is looking at alternative ways of delivering the information.
