Two people have died in a factory fire in Melbourne's west.

Emergency crews were called to the blaze at a property on Bunnett Street at Sunshine North about 4am on Friday.

Two people were inside the factory at the time and died, Victoria Police said.

They are yet to be formally identified.

Officers are investigating the circumstances of the fire and are yet to determine how it started.

Police have urged anyone with information about the blaze to come forward.

Crews also responded to a factory fire at Malcolm Place at Campbellfield in Melbourne's north on Friday morning.
