Kellie Beverly has created her own wonderland inside Be Mellow.
Over the past year, she has curated the store into a haven of delightful fashion, accessories, jewellery, candles and gifts, making it the perfect place to shop.
The store was a new venture for Kellie, inspired by someone close to her heart.
“My Mum passed away in the December prior [to opening the store],” Kellie said.
“Her favourite outing was shopping with her girls and, of course, coffee and cake. She had a “thing” for sparkles, whether it be jewellery, candles, ornaments or colourful clothing.”
With multiple businesses under her belt, relaxing and taking a break aren’t ideas that come naturally to Kellie.
“Mum was always saying to me, ‘Can’t you slow down and enjoy life a bit more, Kell? If you’re going to do business, why don’t you do something that you really love, something you will get a lot of joy from?’” she said.
“So the Be is for my mum, Barbara, and Mellow is about “being” in the present moment, whatever you’re doing, whomever you’re with ... just enjoying life.”
Kellie’s passion project, Be Mellow, is having it’s first birthday. She has created a fun-loving environment for women to be relaxed and playful, even step out of their usual style into a new look that makes them feel fabulous.
“Our styling sessions are so fun, we call them ‘dress-ups’,” she said.

Kellie has carefully selected a stunning array of relaxed, feminine styles. From beautiful silks and free-flowing linens made in Italy and France, to boho-inspired Australian and Indian cottons. At Be Mellow you’ll find fashion to take you anywhere, from a stylish luncheon to your dream vacation.
“Women want to feel confident, comfortable, and a little bit special,” she said.
“Our ladies love a little bit of difference, a touch of sparkle or a stylish embellishment ... something that makes [their outfit] more unique.
“There’s so much variety, and it’s all very feminine and gorgeous.”
Be Mellow, located at 21 Fraser St, Shepparton, is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.
