In 2018, two Victorian dairy farmers started talking about how they could improve their farms’ sustainability and profitability.
That’s when an idea was born. Linking science and nature — a ‘biolink’ — to find a better solution for Australian farmers.
Using their first-hand knowledge of the land and good farming practices, the Biolink team have formulated a unique combination of ingredients to feed the soil and create a better environment for plant and animal growth.
Biolink Probiotics 4 Plants and Animals makes a range of affordable natural fertilisers, microbial soil stimulants and animal probiotics.
“We draw our inspiration from the pioneers of biodynamic, organic and regenerative farming,” co-owner Kevin Beecroft said.
“Unlike conventional fertilisers, Biolink products aren’t just about replacing the nutrients removed from the soil in food and fibre production.
“We’re about nurturing the soil using a selection of multi-species microbials to create a carbon and nutrient-rich, sustainable environment for plant growth.
“Designed for use alongside your conventional fertiliser program, they boost nutrient uptake while reducing the quantity of fertiliser needed to produce the same output.
“The result is a cost-neutral solution.”
The Biolink Probiotics 4 Plants and Animals range of microbial-based products helps in all types of applications, including:
– Nurturing abundant pasture growth to feed the herd — reducing your dependence on costly bought-in feed.
– Increasing crop yields and plant quality without the need for extra chemical fertiliser, which results in nutrient loss and harmful run-off into waterways.
– Boosting the on-farm composting process in manure heaps and effluent ponds to reduce waste and create cost-effective fertiliser.
– Improving the gut health of horses, livestock and poultry to increase nutrient efficiency, lower feed costs, reduce environmental emissions and increase overall animal health.
“The feedback has been fantastic. Every week, we’re talking to farmers who can’t believe the results of using Biolink products,” Kevin said.
