Future champions welcomed to the Shepparton Show parade

Penny, Britney and Maggie Gavenlock all prepared their own heifers for showing and took them in to the Shepparton Show. Penny paraded the champion heifer for a handler under 13 years, and was judged the under-13 champion heifer handler. Her sisters also took home ribbons.

The Shepparton Show was an opportunity for young cattle handlers to demonstrate their learnings.

They have been practising how to present their heifers for weeks, and in the past week, they were busy clipping, trimming and cleaning their cattle.

The all-breeds youth show attracted a range of entries from around the region, and entrants were as young as three.
