Gold Coast skipper Noah Anderson will miss the side's bounce-back attempt against Essendon, again robbing the Suns of a first look at their full-strength midfield.
But defender Sam Collins is still buzzing to witness the "Yin and Yang" of Matt Rowell and Christian Petracca when the pair take the field together for the first time on Saturday.
Rowell will play a third game since returning from a broken finger while Christian Petracca (hamstring) is expected to be fit to play.
That offsets the absence of Anderson, who had surgery to remove his appendix on Monday.
Bailey Humphrey will also return from suspension for the side that's lost twice since registering three thumping victories to begin their campaign.
"They're two absolute bulls and the way they can 'Yin and Yang' out there is going to be exciting," Collins said.
"Disappointing, the way we lost, but we know where we went wrong and how to fix it so it's not all doom and gloom.Â
"Noah's a sensational player we'd love to have him out there this weekend ... but we'll be fine to cover that loss; it doesn't rattle us or anything like that."
Rowell was held to just 13 disposals in a loss to Melbourne on his return from injury but had 32 touches in the weekend's Gather Round loss to Sydney.
Petracca kicked three and four goals in his first two games for the Suns, collecting 34 disposals in the season opener, before the injury against Richmond saw him miss both losses.
"We haven't been up to it the past two weeks and yeah, we know we're we're better than that," Rowell said.
"So we need to rise to the level and we want to make sure we get that right this week."
