Signature Denture Studio dental prosthetist Nicholas Greer is raising awareness about denture services available across the Echuca Moama region and surrounding districts.

“I am hearing a lot recently that people don’t know who we are and what we do, locally,” Mr Greer said.

“I am letting people know that we service Echuca, Moama, Deniliquin, Cohuna and surrounds.”

Mr Greer is finding many people are concerned that their new dentures will look too big in their mouth, with reference to a television commercial for a hotel booking site, where the older gentleman’s teeth appear too large for his mouth.

Mr Greer would like to let everyone know that Signature Denture Studio does not do that.

Signature Denture Studio’s approach is to craft customised dentures designed to complement each patient’s natural features, ensuring your teeth look natural and not large or unnatural.

“What we do, and have always done, is focus on the aesthetics that suit a patient’s face,” Mr Greer said

“We individualise everything that we do for people.”

The process of creating dentures for you that look natural involves Mr Greer taking photos and measurements of your mouth and face, and carefully designing, moulding, and sculpting a denture that suits your needs and appearance.

One distinctive offering at Signature Denture Studio involves creating dentures based on patients’ photos from their younger years.

“I have done a few cases recently where we have used photos from a patient when they were younger, when they had all their teeth and we have been making dentures from those,” Mr Greer said.

“A case I did recently, I used a photo of a gentleman in his 20s when he had all his natural teeth that he wanted to copy and make a new denture for him, now that he is in his 50s.”

Blending time-tested methods with cutting-edge technology, including 3D printing and injection moulding, the clinic operates from three locations across Moama, Cohuna and Deniliquin, providing swift repair services for damaged dentures.

“We want people to know that we are around the corner, in Moama, five days a week,” Mr Greer said.

“We can manufacture and repair dentures in-house, as we produce everything ourselves and take great pride in our work.

“We are using a range of more traditional techniques as well as the latest technology, using a mixture of both to get a better denture.”

Mr Greer stresses the value of consistent maintenance.

“If you are getting maintained and checked every 12 months, we can actually adjust the denture as it goes through its lifecycle,” he said.

“If you leave it for too long, it can reach the point where it just needs to be replaced rather than something like a realignment.”

For those mindful of emergencies, the clinic provides duplicate dentures and can do emergency repairs.

If your dentures break, Signature Denture Studio will endeavour to repair your denture for you on the same day, using the same material that they are made of.

“One of the most common issues is people drop their dentures while they are cleaning them into a porcelain sink, or they drop them on the bathroom tiles,” Mr Greer said.

“We don’t use superglue, like a lot of patients do, we actually use the right material, so it is healthy for the body and is going to make the denture strong again.”

As we get older, our gums shrink, which may mean that your dentures may not fit like they once did.

To fix this, Signature Denture Studio can reline your existing dentures to fit snug.

“A lot of people don’t realise that, they assume that once they get dentures, it lasts for a lifetime, but your mouth will keep changing shape,” Mr Greer said.

“A reline is replacing that fitting surface to make it fit well, while keeping the same teeth.”

Mr Greer recommends that you make an appointment every 12 months to get your dentures checked and maintain a healthy mouth.
