Sonay Kartal has pulled out of Great Britain's squad for their Billie Jean King Cup tie against Australia with Katie Swan drafted in as her replacement.
British No.2 Kartal was forced to withdraw as a result of the back problem she suffered during the Indian Wells Open last month.
Swan, who in 2016 became the youngest player to represent Great Britain in the tournament when she made her debut against South Africa as a 16-year-old, joins Harriet Dart, Jodie Burrage and Mika Stojsavljevic in the team.
Commenting on her withdrawal on her Instagram account, Kartal said: "I had a feeling something wasn't right with my back when I arrived in Miami and after having some scans, it's clear that I'm going to need a little more time to let it heal.
The best-of-five rubber at Melbourne's John Cain Arena will be played on Friday and Saturday next week with the winner progressing to the 2026 Finals in China in September.
Maya Joint, Storm Hunter, Kimberly Birrell, Talia Gibson and Emerson Jones have been named in Australia's squad, captained by Sam Stosur.
