Madonna says she's still pinching herself after her new album Confessions II topped charts around the world.
The queen of pop expressed gratitude to her fans for the "incredible reception" to her sequel to Confessions on a Dance Floor.
It comes days after the 67-year old secured her 13th UK chart-topping album, according to the Official Charts Company (OCC).
She also became the first US female artist to earn a number one album across five decades.
The album also debuted at number one on the US billboard 200 chart as well as Australia's Aria Albums Chart.
In a heartfelt post shared on Monday, the singer said: "Words cannot express how Grateful and Surprised I am by the incredible reception Confessions on a Dance Floor has received !!
"Thank You – to everyone who has been a part of this and who has helped make this dream come true. Especially my fans.
"The Goodwill and positivity has been incredible. I'm still pinching myself.
"I can't believe it's # 1 all around the world. My dream was to make people dance this summer!! To bring people JOY! Dreams do come true. Thanks and love!"
Confessions II has been hailed by critics as Madonna's "most vital album in over two decades" and features a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.
She sings a duet with her daughter Lourdes "Lola" Leon on the record, where they sing about their dynamic and how living in the spotlight has affected their relationship.
The record also features collaborations with Colombian singer Feid, DJ Martin Garrix and Belgian singer Stromae.
Confessions II is Madonna's first number one record since 2012's MDNA with the singer now equalling Elvis Presley in fifth place as the artists with the most number one albums ever, according to the OCC.
Madonna first topped the charts in 1984 with her album Like A Virgin, followed by True Blue (1986), Like A Prayer (1989) and The Immaculate Collection (1990).
She also hit number one in the charts with 2003's American Life, Hard Candy (2008) and Celebration (2009).
