An all-new dairy cattle competition has been unveiled for the upcoming Royal Melbourne Show, with in-milk classes returning to the show.
This year will bring together six dairy breeds — Holstein, Jersey, Guernsey, Brown Swiss, Ayrshire and Illawarra — for junior heifer, intermediate cow and senior cow in-milk classes.
International Dairy Week judge and director and local auctioneer Brian Leslie will judge the competition, which will include an evening judging on Saturday, September 21.
Entries to the event are now open and close on Friday, July 26.
