Ardmona dairy farmer announces resignation from Bega board

Bega Cheese director Jeff Odgers will step down from the role on June 30.

Mr Odgers, who farms at Ardmona, made the decision after his son died in a farm accident in March.

“Jeff has been a wonderful contributor to the success of Bega Cheese,” a company statement said.

“His knowledge of the industry from local on-farm issues to global dairy market dynamics have been invaluable.”

Mr Odgers has been a director of Bega Cheese since 2011, having initially joined the company in 2009 as a director of Tatura Milk.

The Bega Cheese board is now on the lookout for a replacement.
