WestVic Dairy has postponed all upcoming events for at least the next fortnight and will continue to review this over time.This postponement includes all workshops and field days, as well as the Great South West Dairy Awards Gala evening, which was due to take place on Wednesday, March 25.WestVic Dairy Chair, Simone Renyard said the prestigious dairy awards will now take place later in the year.
"We look forward to hosting this great event and celebrating our industry when it is appropriate to do so. “The board and staff at WestVic Dairy are working hard to address the needs of the region’s dairy farmers through this difficult time. We will be delivering regular updates in order to provide farmers with the information they need in order to make proactive, informed business decisions,'' Ms Renyard said. “In addition to passing on relevant information regarding the affects of COVID-19 virus on the dairy industry, we will also use other methods of extension.
