Coles follows price rise lead

Coles has followed the lead of Woolworths and Aldi by increasing its home brand milk prices.

The change will see Coles’ one-litre milk cost $1.29, two litres cost $2.39 and three litres cost $3.59.

‘‘Coles works closely with the dairy processors who supply Coles brand milk,’’ a company spokesperson said.

‘‘Following a review of market conditions and rising cost pressures across the industry, we have taken the decision to increase the retail price of Coles brand sold in Coles supermarkets and through Coles online.’’

Aldi and Woolworths home brand milk varieties are also staggered at $1.29 for one litre, $2.39 for two litres and $3.59 for three litres.
