Merrigum’s Samuel Macadam had a successful day out at the Northern Victoria Ayrshire Cattle Club Calf Day in early April, with his calf Sammac Blossum awarded Grand Champion Heifer.
The calf also took out Junior Champion Heifer at the April 8 event at the Kyabram Showgrounds.
Judge Emily Brown awarded Arilla Rockstar Locket, owned by Merrigum’s W. and A. Macadam, Senior Champion, with the Macadam family also being awarded Reserve Senior Champion, with their cow Arilla Brock Emelita.
The Honourable Mention in the senior class, went to Lara Olympic Rea, owned by A. and F. Ferguson from Toolamba.
